Unlike other chlorine-based disinfection processes, its use does not release any halogenated substances such as trihalogen compounds (THMs), chlorophenols, AOX compounds, or chloramines into drinking water. Reactions with primary, secondary, and quaternary amines are excluded.

Due to the optimal reaction conditions of our 2-component manufacturing process, neither chlorates nor perchlorates are produced during the formation of chlorine dioxide.

Note: A gas phase containing 3 vol% chlorine dioxide will form above the solution. Chlorine dioxide gas is classified as an irritant and very toxic to aquatic life. This must be taken into account when handling.
